Place is easily approachable from main road. Walk way is like one in temple run game. Visiting hours is only in morning. But yes, the 2 hours of walk into a forest like environment in early hours of the day was truly refreshing.

Pretty good natural park in kottayam. Really a visual treat for photographers and bird lovers. Easily accessible from the main road. Parking available.

Totally green. Good for a walk early morning and watch the different types of birds. The place is very beautiful surrounded by Vempanad lake.

make sure you visit around 7am .. It is difficult to spot birds in the thick foliage but walk till the end for around 2 kms and climb the last watch tower to see loads of birds.. I went first week of july and saw spotted pelicans, snake bird, painted stork, cormorant, diff types of egrets, kingfisher etc.. carry drinking water but please dont litter.. there are designated disposal bins for plastic bottles etc.. cheers
