Rishi Raj MenonCreating Magic on Canvas and Wood My association with the Van Goghs Arts & Wood Stories, goes back to 2010 when me and my father dropped into their Marathahalli branch to have a painting of the “Lady with the Lamp” on our of solid wood teak frame that belonged to my Great Great Grandfather. That time I never came in contact with Mr. Jaleel, but the painting that was done by an artist called Mr Venu was par excellence and my father was very impressed by the quality of the work of the Van Goghs studio. Keeping that painting in mind we revisited Van Goghs Arts, wherein were directed to Mr. Jaleel. He was very patient in understanding our requirements of a portrait of my father in a similar frame on which his artist had created magic earlier. He took more than a month and with a few changes, his artist Mr. Chandra Babu did a beautiful representation of my father which made us feel really emotional. Had he been alive, I am sure my father would have yet again congratulated Mr Jaleel on the wonderful work. Apart from creating magic on canvas the Van Goghs Arts & Wood Stories, also works magic on wood and creates beautiful wooden furnitures. While having the discussion on the portrait of my father, we were so enamoured by one of the cots that they had made. The cot has found its way to my home, the very same day!!! So if you are looking at having a painting done or want a furniture which would make everyone go green with envy, Van Goghs Arts & Wood Stories is the place to be.
