Great service and great treatment.. one of the best govt hospital I have visited. Well behaved dentist and staff and very affordable price. I consulted private clinic and given 500 rs for just 2 minute of inspection and he told I need RCT and it will cost 15k but here they told no need of RCT and done filling with only 100 rs. So better visit this hospital if you are in Bangalore than private clinic. Because private clinic only looting with wrong information to you.

Let me tell clear the myth to all general public that we always crib about the government not providing enough medical facilities and at the same time complain that the private medical expenses are too high and not affordable to common citizens. I had two decayed molar teeth which had to be extracted and as usual consultant a Private Dental Clinic and was suggested a tooth extraction which would cost around min rs.5000/- per tooth as it involved a minor surgery. I wondered whether I should really spend 10K for tooth extraction and found that there was a Government dental college and research center in victoria hospital annex which had all the facilities and doctor for the general public. I visited the hospital registered myself by paying Rs.10, consulted the doctor who suggested the extraction in the minor OT and suggested to get an x-ray. Got x-ray at Rs.25 each tooth, ie. rs.50. Free medicine provided. Then met the doctor at minor OT and was given an appointment after two days for extraction at minor OT. All over within 2 hours. I returned after 2 days for the extraction and paid Rs.120/- for the micro surgery. The doctors very courteous and polite who took around 45 min to extract as it had some complication. All over within 2 hours. Doctor prescribed medicines which need to be purchase outside and I went to the Janatha Bazar Generic Medical stores and purchased all medicines for 5 days for Rs.200/-. In all total expenses within Rs.500/- The OT facility is very big and clean and well maintained. (Not to compare the high profile posh Dental Clinics which extract tooth along with your fat purse ). The staff coordination is equally efficient.

They have not seen a tinier canteen than the one at Government Dental College (GDC). And the food, “it’s no good”, says a pretty young lady. “Many a time we find random unwanted particles in the food served here” she continues. Yet, it’s cheap and a good number of students are found gobbling up the food during lunch hours.
