Arun PrakashEntry fee is Rs.30. Definitely worth more than that. Big. Not really a hill, tiny but gives that feel. Park in the front is good. No photography allowed inside museum. At the exit of the museum there is a walking track which has interesting stone dinosaurs.

Arun BalakrishnaNGood place for a day out.. Fresh air and lot of area to walk and relax. One of the Very nice view is the deers over there and then the architecture and royal look of the Palace, garden etc. No good facility for food or water inside. Royal belongings or weapons are just one 2 pices each. Small play area is there but not maintained well.

Ramani PhilipCrown Jewels should be shown on more days of the week. Should have more guides, more enthusiasm shown by the personnel. Can however see that the authorities have realized that this place definitely has great potential to be a leading tourist attraction, should be advertised more

Abhishek RThe official capital of Kingdom of Kochi was located previously in Thrissur and the royal office of Maharaja as well as the court was all located in the city. However, as per ritualistic customs, the seat of Queen of Kochi (Penvazhithampuran) was seen as Royal capital as Kochi royal family had matrilineal traditions and the queen was regarded as sovereign of the state under whose authority the King ruled. Since 1755, the Queen and her retinue lived in Tripunithura, thereby making the city as official capital. Prince Rama Varmawas later became king was raised in Tripunithura, thereby preferred to live in the city even after coronation as King, rather moving to Thrissur.
