Inna GrynovaThat was a great experience! I came for Kathakali dance performance. At 5 pm they start applying make-up, which lasts for 1 hour. I came at 5:30 and found that 30 min was reasonable to enjoy it and not get bored. Also it was very interesting to see all rituals of how they prepare the scene and the hall for the performance. The dance show itself consisted of two parts: 1. They explain the style and show examples of moves with explanation. This was extremely interesting and educating. And it helped to understand the second part. 2. The dance which shows a short story from Mahabharata. We had a paper which explained the story in words. I was impressed of how emotional were the dancers. With their face impression and hand moves they were able to show so much! Fantastic! I definitely recommend coming here!

Vincent RaikhelThis is an amazing place to get a taste of southern Indian performance art. The plays, martial arts, and dance performances occur daily. Usually about one hour long, the performances offer a truncated taste of the full performances. Enough to satisfy your curiosity, and leave you wanting to explore more. It is a great resource for getting a beginners look at this rich culture.

Dakotta HunterNice cultural show at reasonable rates (350 rps per person) - definitely worth it! Everyday is a different show - check the website or call them for details. The makeup started at 5, show promptly at 6 and ended at 8. Bring your own snacks and beverages (or buy some next door). The area has good local eateries. They also have morning yoga classes.
