This GPO is a grand old structure, icon of past with no operational relevance today. It probably is one of the first in Travancore to sport a Industrial minimal design. Built like a wedge or slice of pizza, there is a replica across the road which belonged to erstwhile telegraph dept. 2 slices of a pizza, the design must have been grander, to form a full 360. Sadly , Kollam wasnt lucky enough. 4 stars for preserving a heritage building and for keeping a equally heritage business still running.
