Ahmednagar College founded in 1947 by BP Hivale with the support and co-operation of the American Marathi Mission, Bombay and others. In seventy years of its existence, its strength has grown from 300 students to more than 7,500. It is situated on a 55 acre campus in the heart of Ahmednagar City, on Nagar Solapur road. It is the first and the oldest institution in District. It is affiliated to the University of Pune.

Well the college is great and is having the largest library in the whole district. Teachers are good and the campus is also good.
