Probably the best place for a vegetarian meal. The food is reasonably priced, good in taste and not too spicy. I believe this is the first Udipi restaurant in Mumbai. There is no menu. They serve a fixed meal with the menu changing daily. Just excellent.

Most sumptuous food. South Indian Banana Leaves Meals. Reasonable price. Just outside Matunga railway CR station. Paid Parking.

Even 5 Stars are less. Just too good. Excellent traditional udipi style meals on banana leaf at extremely VFM rates. Iconic place since decades. Long queues on weekends. Not for those who care for ambience and chat while eating. This place is just eat and go. Mumbai is blessed to have it.

The best Mangalorean food that you can eat in Mumbai, especially from the GSB community. A great favourite with seniors and young people alike, you get an unlimited thali for around 170 to 240 rupees. They charge extra for the food that goes wasted, which is a brilliant idea, and they discourage waste. You get the best vegetables here, and the best sambar and rasam with ghee, appalams and rice. The rotis are soft, thin and applied with ghee. To top off your grand meal, you also get dessert, and chaas (buttermilk). All in all, such a filling, heartwarming experience!

For people who enjoy South Indian food, there is nothing like the Udipi Rama Naik restaurant. One of the oldest joints, you cannot get any more Tamil food, authentic than Rama Naik. Approachable place, close to the Matunga station. At ₹.200/-, you will get the unlimited meals, as of today.

Unique authentic veg Karwari cuisine. Superb quality and great service. It makes me feel nostalgic and takes me back to the food served in temples of Goa...
