Paramjeet SinghThe Sikh Museum is located at Balongi village of Mohali. The Museum has eye catching hand made statues which tells us about the Sikh history in an interactive way. These statues are permanently being placed outside the museum. It is good if you use your personal vehicle to reach there because it has less connectivity to the public transports like buses and autos. We initially faced some difficulties in reaching the museum due to lack of transport connectivity. Entry to the museum is totally free and you can also donate any amount if you wish to. Inside the museum you will find many hand made paintings and small statues with description written below them in three languages Hindi, English and Punjabi. It took us approximately 30 minutes to explore whole museum. Kids will definitely love to learn more as the events are presented in an amazing and interactive way. My younger brother was keenly interested and asked me to read all the descriptions written below the paintings and sculptures. The only issue at museum is of lighting, it is not well lit which sometimes create problem in the evening. If you want to learn more about the Sikh culture, diversity and history then this museum is a must visit.
