    Hi, I am John Robert from Porur Area. My experience with Oyester Home builders is a nightmare. I won’t suggest any property buyer to purchase from them. Here is my experience with the builders. I booked a flat in one of the projects named “STARSHINE” located at Periyapanichery in the year 2012 and they promised me to deliver the flat t in a year’s time. But they took almost one and half year. This is because they had issues with the backside neighbours and delayed to handover me the flat. As per plan, the FLAT should have Balcony and Utility but OYESTER builders didn’t provide me any of these facilities. During the construction stage itself they blocked the utility and balcony area without taking my consent or permission. When I enquired about this to them they said that since because they had issues with the backside people they closed the utility and balcony. At this stage itself you can know about their customer service and their business ethics Secondly, in the month of February2014, Oyester Homes delivered me the FLAT devoid of utility and balcony promising me that they have filed a suit against the backside neighbours and will sort out the issue as soon as possible. But till date nothing has been done in this regards. They completely cheated me. In the month of May 2014 i.e. after 3 months of possession a dreadful thing happened inside the FLAT. The plaster of the hall’s ceiling gave away and fell down. Nobody was there at home and this happened in morning. If somebody had been there, definitely it would have resulted into a fatal accident. Almost whole of the ceiling plaster fell down and the debris spread over the whole hall area caused damaged my furniture, home theatre and other valuable items kept on the dining table. Immediately I reported about this NEARMISS to the OYESTER HOMES MD Mr. S. Balasundaram and he came with his fellow executives to have an inspection of the FLAT. He admitted and agreed his lack of supervision during the construction stage and promised me to compensate for the damage caused to me. On that day itself he asked his executives to check other rooms also and to my surprise and shock all other room’s ceiling were found to be weak. This shows the negligence of the OYESTER HOMES Builder’s supervision and his labour skill. S. Balasundaram says such incidents happen one in a million. You can see his approach and business ethics. As a builder he is suppose to construct a house which is safe to live and not to create a fear in the customer who resides in it. Balasundaram promised me that he will be giving the compensation but till today he has not given me any kind of compensation. I visited his office so many times to ask for the compensation along with my wife. Finally to my surprise, one of his sale executives told that as his business is running from loss and he cannot give me compensation. The PROBLEM doesn’t end over with this; there are other things like poor drainage pipes installed in the flat and seepage of rain water which has been reported to the builder time to time but there is no action on his part to resolve these problems. He is totally deaf on these issues. REALLY I and MY FAMILY are undergoing MENTAL AS WELL AS PHYSICAL TORTURE BY THIS BUILDER. I RECOMMEND THE BUYERS NOT TO PURCHASE ANY PROPERTY OF ANY KIND FROM OYESTER HOMES, Annanagar. The construction quality is very poor and my family feels UNSAFE to stay in this FLAT. They are under constant fear and trauma.
