For any one with an interest in trains in Chennai this place is a less publicized hidden attraction of Chennai. Staff are friendly. A must visit place in Chennai for a train buff. Though improvements are seen ....Only wish would be better maintenance of the trains on display. For those interested in trains it would be a half day visit ... If you walk without stopping you can cover the museum in about an hours time. The Toy Train that runs is a crowd puller. Did not expect dettol hand wash in the toilets though .. .. :)

Excellent place to take your kids for a half day trip. They will really enjoy this different place. It gives good perspective of our Indian railways and capability of ICF.. At the same time, it brings a feel that ICF is underutilized and under rated to support private players.. Also this place is poorly maintained nowadays. This should be renovated properly.

this place needs to improve a lot and has low maintenance But a decent place to visit but lot of damaged doors and equipment
