A complaint filed before a city court in December alleges that the Radha Soami Satsang Beas, a religious body, does not maintain accounts or lists of donations, or proceeds from sale of books, pictures of saints and other material sold to devotees. Satvir Singh (61), in his plea has alleged that the Radha Soami Satsang Beas did not provide any receipts or proof of donations to devotees, and had amassed a lot of wealth. The court of Metropolitan Magistrate Purva Sareen has directed the police to file an Action Taken Report in the complaint by January 15. Accusing the head of Radha Soami Satsang Beas — Gurinder Singh Dhillon — of cheating, fraud and breach of trust, Singh has sought registration of an FIR under IPC Sections 420 and 406 .
