Sudipto RoyWe stayed in Hotel Garg during our road trip from Calcutta to Rajasthan. We were coming in from Benares and had originally planned to spend the night in Agra. But seeing this hotel right on the road side we decided to spend the night here and not take the trouble of driving through the mad traffic jams of Agra. The hotel has a huge parking lot. Although open, it is well protected. The room had a comfortable bed. They even gave us an extra mattress for our daughter at no extra cost. The geyser in the bathroom worked perfectly fine. At Rs 900 a night, I do not expect anything more. The food is decent. They are vegetarians, which is not a problem because they include egg in their menu. Very nice informal staff with a smiling face. I would heavily recommend this hotel for anyone who needs a basic clean room for a night with decent food. I gave four stars and not five because the attachments in the bathroom, like shower, the taps etc, could be better. But the bathroom is clean no doubt.
