Passpor seva Kendra Gorakhpur is located at about 2 Kms from Asuran Crosssing. Here every process is done in a very regulated and automated way.Fresh and renewal of passport application is done online.First you have to fill the form on line and deposit the fees. For normal it is Rs 1500/- and for Tatkal Passport it is 3500/- Then you are asked to take the appointment.date. If one is applying for normal it may take few days ,depending upon the waiting list.If Tatkal ,you get the earliest or next day.Then you get a receipt. mentioning the Date and time of appointment. Your also reminded for your appointment on your mobile by SMS. My appointment was today on 6th April..I reached there at 9 AM sharp. and the door was just opened..Then I was directed for taking token appointment .Thereafter you have to look into panel for your counter.. When your token No appears, you have to reach there..At fist counter your documents are checked.then your photo and finger prints are taken..Then you are directed for next counter.,Here again your documents are checked.and finally you are given a receipt.Every process is done in a very systematic and methodical way.I was getting all the information on my mobile by messages .Staff are very cordial and helping specially Mr Anuj Rajput was very helping person.Whole process was completed in about 45 Mnts.
