    It is the ultimate destination where a man can find peace. Look in his eyes staring at you and recite Hanuman Chalisa and Sankatmochan Ashtak and you will find tears in your eyes. One of the oldest and recognized temple of Lord Hanuman. There is a free parking space in front of the temple but not adequate. Road adjacent has parking but paid. It a must visit temple if you have faith. Jai Hanuman!

    Nice place to visit. One of the oldest Human Mandir. Parking might be an issue. Tuesdays and Saturdays are packed. You might have to stand in line to get to the main area.

    Sankat Mochan temple, devoted to Monkey God Hanuman , is a very calm and peaceful place to spend some time at . Looking at the large number of visitors , the temple appears to be very popular as well . On the opposite side of the temple, there is a smaller temple of Lord Rama whose disciple Hanuman was . A short stay at the premises brings peace and satisfaction to the visitors , well worth it. A word of caution, however .Visitors to the temple should be careful with food items and their belongings, especially cellphones as the complex is teeming with a large population of simians who would snatch them given the smallest opportunity .

    This is one of the most visited temple of Varanasi ,after Kashi Viswanath temple.It is very ancient since the time of Goswami Tulsidas ji who initiated the construction of this temple. It is located in the Saket Nagar area of the city and is about 10 Kms from the Cant, Railway station and 1 Km from the Lanka . It remains heavily crowded on Tues days and Sat days,. It is said that visit to this temple and prayer to Hanuman ji fulfills all the desires and make free from all the troubles. That is why called Sankat Mochan. There is security check up before the entrance and you are not allowed to take camera, mobile or any bag inside this temple.The premises of this temple full of monkeys ,jumping all around and doing all sort of pranks.
