emulum qurkoolAsansol is a large station with Railway connections all over the Country. Most of the long distance Express trains stops here. There is also local train service joining the adjacent states and districts. The Station dates back to 1863, the Colonial reminiscences are visible in some parts. It has AC and non AC retiring rooms. Regular meal in the first floor and food stalls with all amenities. Wifi also added as a passenger amenity. Cleanliness is also remarkably better ( on a national standard ) as this is a a very busy station. Buses, auto rickshaws, and cabs on hire ( be sure to know the rate before you board them ) available within the station premises. There is a parking lot for two and four wheeler. Most of the Railway staffs are helpful.

Infinity RiderAsansol is the third largest city in West Bengal, so the station will obviously be very busy. Yes the platforms are busy but the infrastructure is well developed to take care of that. The station is still under a bit of renovation. The views from the trains after or before you leave or reach the station are awesome. It is located on the slope of the Chotanagpur plateau. Asansol is a a major hub for all the trains that run between Howrah and new Delhi. So mostly all the trains have halts here. The stations are very clean and have all the basic amenities.The old buildings of the station remind you of the British architecture and looks cool as well.

Partho Roy ChowdhuryGood Station but not as good as compared to Kolkata Junction. Need more food joints and washrooms, oh god..those are such hard to find.

Biswajit GhantyGordgious British architecture. very few Station in India has such Wide-angled look at Entrance. Very busy as all big trains from Howrah to Delhi halt here, many trains change direction, yet its platforms remain clean. Support Staffs are good & efficient. Bus service towards city, remote places of city are available upto 9 pm. Then auto and taxis are available at night. Recently OLA cabs are available. But, till date no pre-paid taxi counter in station ptemises.

Vikas KumarIts is a nice station where you can easily find refreshments and other necessary stuff. Although station is moderately cleaned.
