On 14.06.2016,I visited one renowned private courier service in Salt Lake ,to send one envelope to Pune City.The lady in the counter informed me that it will cost Rs 140/--I asked her how long it will take to reach the destination? She informed me it will reach by17.06.2016. She further informed, that the charge has been increased recently.I backed out and went to Bidhannagar CCBlock P.O.The gentleman in the counter with the huge workload ,handling all sorts of of postal functions like M.O. Postal Order, Registered Posts,Speed Posts ,V.P.P. etc. checked my envelope,weighed it (45 gms)and informed me to deposit Rs 40/- for sending it through Speed Post.The envelope (Receipt No.EW861380009IN) reached its destination on 17.06.2016.Does it indicate, the most efficient government services at the chepest rate in the competitive market?

Really pathetic...they never contact you if you are unavailable to receive it at home...they just send back the speed post that day only nd this thing has happened to me thrice. Hats off for their effort and services.
