If anyone thinks that it is a bad college since it is a government one, he/she is completely wrong. It is although not the best one but a good one. The seniors treat the freshers very nicely, they are always helpful and no ragging is done in college.

GCELT provided one of the best faculties of Kolkata, and it provides a fertile environment to help students to utilize their brain in various domains of interest. GCELT organizes its annual Tech Fest - ENGINERDS in every September, and its biennial Cultural Fest-cum-Reunion - PUNORMILON. Both are famous and both observes numerous footfall in the college on EM Bypass.
