Formerly it was known as Ochterlony Monument. Very good monument. Nice to see and enjoy. One can get to the top with valid permission from the authority. From the top Kolkata looks amazing and beautiful. The surroundings of the monument need to be kept clean.

Historical place. Not everyone is allowed to enter. You have to make special permission from Lalbazar if you are willing to enter the Minar and reach to the top.
