Sonarpur is an important station of South 24 Parganas. From this station Canning line is separated. So if you want to go to canning from diamond harbour or Luxmikantapur, you have to change train here. The station platforms are wide (except platform 4) and clean. The platforms have seats for passengers and toilets and water taps. Toy can buy express train tickets from here also.
