Tiruvannmalai is a small town and apart from Arunachala temple and this ashram there is nothing much to visit. After visiting this ashram I felt I made a great decision to visit this small town. You need to book room in this ashram one month in advance which is absolutely free of cost and food served here is delicious and free of charge too. Their are no donation boxes in the whole ashram if you like to donate you have to do so in the admin office only which is something definitely impressed me.

good place to meditate and to get relieved from stress. The temple for Ramanars Dog is amazing. The things used by Ramanar are still preserved there. They have few rooms for accomodation and its really pleasant and calm. There is a hill besides the ashram. you can climb above it. From there the view of Aranachaleswar temple is superb.

Very good place to meditate, need at least 3 to 4 hours see all places inside ashram, you have way to go to Ramana cave

Bagavan lives here in the form of silence, not just flesh & blood. If silence is not felt in this place, then there shall be no other place in this whole world for one to feel it.
