Shyam PhartyalAs per the Itinerary provided to me, 3*** Dlx Hotel accommodation was promised to my group of 6 members and I was charged accordingly. To begin with, at Port Blair, we were dropped in a dingy, low cost budget hotel N K International by the cab driver and left alone to arrange rooms for us on our own, without any Emerald representative. At other locations also, the accommodation was not at all like 3 Star rating. There was no kettle in the room to prepare Tea in NK. They could not provide even a hanger for clothes. Water supply in one of the rooms (106) was very dirty. Food quality was good initially, but became pathetic later on, specially during buffet dinner. We wanted to go for shopping to Sagarika Government Emporium, but we were misguided. The driver deliberately took us to other private shop. When confronted, he abandoned us in the night and disappeared. When I informed your staff Mr Debashis about it, he didn’t cooperate. After several calls on his mobile, I was shocked to hear fowl and abusive language from the other end. This was very disturbing and humiliating. It was like, once all payments were made, we were left to our own fate to face the consequences. We observed that staff of other travel agencies was always with their guests, helping & guiding them, whereas we were left on our own, most of the time. I requested Mr Javed Ali, the proprietor to meet us before leaving to convey the situation to him, but he refused to oblige. The service was most unsatisfactory in spite of exorbitant charges. It may be noted that we were charged Rs. 19,416.83 per head for six nights for very ordinary service.
