Dintakurty PraveenThis papikondala tour in about is a memorable experience with Friends and families. Started at 9 am and were enjoying the upstream of Godavari river. The little known rain water fed river was revealed as we travelled further upstream and the valley was full of life and creatures unperturbed by human habitations.the upstream travel was four hours and had a visit to the temple followed by return. The atmosphere on the boat was electric with all age groups having theirs fun with Dance and Games .The photographers had their full with natural beauty.will be back again with more fun. Thanks Saikrishna for the Best fun we had with you.

deeptimayee beheraMy rating is as per my experience. Thats what matters right. So, we have choosen this place as it appears so exciting and adventurous. But we couldnt experience the same, sadly. We started from Vijaywada and went to Polavaram by our car. But the travel agencies have the facility to take you to the boat pick up location as well. They will provide a bus, and i think its a non ac bus. It doesnot matter as its an early morning bus like 6 am bus so you wont get to feel the hot sun. Then in Pollavaram each agencies has tie up with different boats. Your agency will give you a boat name and you need to get in that only. The agencies have two options for you. 1. One is return in same day. and it includes you get a boat ride, which goes in between the tall and green mountain range, you will be shown the Great and largest Polavaram Dam locations that is yet to come. Then the locations where plenty of Telgu Movies were shot. I loved it because i am a nature lover and i love water. You will get breakfast, lunch and snacks and anytime tea on the boat. You better choose an AC boat and stay inside.Thats what i did. You will also be taken to few temples on the bank of Godavari on the way. 2.Other one is spend the night and come back next day. It includes the above options and you get to spend the night on a mountain on the bank of river Godavari. There are some 20 to 30 Huts and tents available at the location where we were kept. Each Hut has provision to keep 4 people. When i say this, you better be a 4 member group or 8 member group or any number multiple to four. Or else, you have to spend the night with strangers, no question asked. The travel agency wont mention this. And if you are only two people then you dont spend the night, highly recommended. Believe me you wont like it. The Hut is an open hut made with bamboo. The tent is a suffocating closed tent. There is no fan in the hut or tent, dont expect ac at all. You get some highly tasty food that south indian cuisine offers. You can fill your plates no of times, so good is the food. But be aware about the bamboo chicken, its actually a major attraction as you wanna feel like living on a mountain in a hut and eating so yummy bamboo chicken. Taste wise its very very yummy, but healthy i wont say. As i have fallen sick after taking it. If you wanna taste it anyway then stand there while they make it and ask them to clean the chicken, bamboo and there hands properly before cooking. Do keep meds as you wont get any and u need to wait a day to get back on land to get any medical help. You will be dropped back in the late evening and agencies vehicles will drop you back in the city. If you have taken your own vehicle, do remember that you have to pay the parking charges, it is a hefty amount. Have a safe journey.
