Basob Barooah

It is one of the oldest Chinese restaurants in the city.The prices are a bit on the higher side but the quality is maintained. Besides, the portions are more, which can be shared by two persons. When 25 yrs back ,I and my fiancee , who is now my wife ate there,the food is equaly good. We go there now sometimes and find the standards have not gone down. To maintain the standards for such a long time deserves four stars.

Supposed to be the best Chinese restaurant of the town. But experiences vary. It is not authentic Chinese and not even fusion but sort of hybrid variety. But then as I said the taste of the pudding lies in its eating.

Tried American Chopsuey and Chicken Hakka noodles here...was awesome. Quantity is also great here. A must try. Definitely.
