It is a must visit when you are at Mcleod. Being Indian I knew some background about the plight of the Tibetans - but even though quite sobering, it was important to me to know the history of tibet and the tibetan government in exile in India, away from the Chinese. A lot of thougt and curation has gone into how the museum is made, the timelines and visuals. They do not charge an entry fee but they do have a donation box you can contribute to and it is inside the Dalai Lama main temple compound. IT IS SHUT ON MONDAYS. Reading up content on the Dalai Lamas official website adds to this experience.
