Pravin GahukarThis is one of the oldest zoo in India(over 100 years old), located very near to Mysore palace and is one among the well maintained zoos in India. I specifically visited to watch Giraffe - the tallest and giant animal found in very few zoos across India and Mysore zoo is one of them which also recently became the Giraffe breeding center in India because of the best care provided here. Apart from Giraffe, you get to see couple of Elephants, Zebras, Deers, Antelopes, Rhinoceroses, different species of Monkeys and common predators like Tigers and Lions. Also there is bird sanctuary housing different species of birds which is good to watch. Plan some long duration for this trip as the zoo area is quite large, so you need to walk few kilometers to cover everything.

Raghavendra PrabhuMust visit place in Mysore. You need at least 2-3 hours to get a nice experience of the zoo. Electric vehicle ride is also available. But I suggest to walk and enjoy the beauty of nature. The place is very cool and green. One will like this place and it will be a relieving experience from busy city life.

Shivani GargBeautifully done zoo, all neat and clean. Flora and Fauna is so lovely that I had fallen in love with the place. They had some exotic animal species too. Amenities were plenty and easily accessible. Their canteen is also good, cheap and clean.

Manu RaoExcellent Maintenance. 100% plastic free zone. They even opened our chips packet at the entrance, put contents in a paper bag and handed it over. Impressed! Very clean and convenient facilities all over - ample seating, watering points and a nice big cafeteria. Above all, animals look really healthy. This zoo is truly international standards.

Prizma GhimireLargely spread around the city of Mysore this zoo is the oldest zoo of India. The place is huge and well maintained. I think the idea of conserving the wildlife through adoption is a well thought idea. Kudos! Q
