They ask what you want to know about Kerala and offer you the best individual program, the informed guides, depending on your preference, can follow and comment every step, provide transportation, contacts and references or just make a nice company. Their service is efficient, discrete and convenient in price. They have a complete database of festivals and local informers. Starting as an order of a travel-package, the relation with Travel Kannur and the team factly grew into a big friendship and productive collaboration. there is not enough space in this review to describe all the experience, but I will refer the main: Me and my husband first time went to India in 2012, we travelled around for about 3 mouth, when by chance found some references about a specific ritual "Theyyam Dance", so called "the Dance of Gods", practised in the Kerala (South India), the first site which came out in the internet, was Travel Kannur, we contacted the director, Santhosh, and that was our luck. In few days he organized, very professionally, our visit to Vengara, his home-place, where we were received by the community members and treated in a best way. The team guides met us at the train station and brought strait to the place where the Theyyam ritual was going on, after we went to the village and were lodged in a nice clean house, with much privacy, but all-included: meals, transport, guiding and friendly conversations. The first time we stayed not so long, just about 10 days: had to continue our travel, but it was time enough to get fascinated with the place and with the people. Then, in two years we returned, this time contacted Travel Kannur and booked a stay in Vengara for 3 month. We could orientate better in the location already, made a lot of friends and felt free to go everywhere. During this period, with support and sponsorship of Travel Kannur I prepared and made a painting exhibition, which, due to the assistance of the team, was one of my best exposition experiences, all was taken care: framing, hanging, exposition space, communication, reception - perfect; the same exhibition was one year later, shown in Dubai with success, also with sponsorship of Travel Kannur. During the same visit, my husband made a film, with advice and technical support of Travel Kannur, this film later was shown on several prestigious festivals in Europe. Our third experience with Travel Kannur, in 2016, was again a special adventure. This time we returned to Vengara like to our home and stayed for 2 month. Our friends from the community were waiting for us, informed by Travel Kannur that we were arriving, and made us a warm welcoming. With a guidance of Santhosh, director, and with assistance of the team, we entered in contact with local artists, professors and intellectuals, to discover more about Kerala and its traditions. Looking forward for the future collaborations and missing Vengara and its people from Portugal.
