This place traces its history back to the times when my grandfather used to be very young. He would tell me how good the Halwas from Malabar are. And yes, every time I have to be at Calicut, my grandfather would ask me to get a few packs of Halwas home. Hence, I can only start to imagine what high praises this place commands, for a guy from Kannur to come all the way to Calicut to get a few packs of Halwas!
