I have deposited Rs. 39,500.00 old currency note on 30th March 2017 at RBI . (Central Office Building, Shahid Bhagat Singh Road, Fort, Mumbai.) The official checked all the reverent paper which I have submitted including the bank details. An excellent service by the officials and over all services was satisfactory. But till today the amount is not been credited to my bank account.

Banking is a serious and an important department ,where penny/paiso counts, minutes counts and each and every employees are accountable for what they do. Nothing goes unaccountable. I have worked in India from 1968 through 1974 at a large milk producers union as senior Veterinary Medical officer before migrating to USA . My early life in USA from 1977 to 1978 I worked as a Cashier at The US Bank named Government Services Savings and Loan, in Bethesda city, Maryland State located very close to The capital city of USA : Washington DC. .I DO HAVE TRUE INSIDE AND OUT SIDE EXPERIENCE of BANKING: as an employee as well as customer for 48 years..In USA we are spoiled-pampered - treated- greeted nicely by most bankers BUT in some big cities in USA you may have to deal through bullet proof cashier windows. As NRI i do banking with four different banks in India and Four banks in USA. I never had bad experience at any bank. MY REASON IS that I know my limitations, I try hard to know banking rules and appreciate bankers service provided to me.. The Banking system in India can be improved along with customers behavior and understanding IMPROVEMENT.. Brothers and Sisters Let us work together. Very regal place to be. Felt like the place exhibits power. Amidst so much security, traffic-control and rules-regulations, the place holds its honour. The walls are all carved, the environment inside gives an old rustic feel along with being modern, efficient. I would love to work in a place like this one.

If you are looking for submitting olcurrencythen please be there before 3 pm , concerned counter closes at sharp 3 pm. This information I did not see anywhere on web. Expected countries biggest bank to at least mention that on some forum. I came from Pune reached gate at 3 pm and was very disappointed.

This place has lost all its honour and credibility ...i am an OCI and cannot travel to India until Dec.17 and therfore i am denied the opportunity to convert my demonetised notes .This money was not grown on a tree, but is hard earned. The RBI Governor should not make promises on their currency notes if they can not honour that even for genuine and legitimate individuals like me.
