I had an excellent experience with Daiichi Japanese Language Solutions as part of their N4 and N3 program. The instructors (just 2) are very friendly and warm. The classroom is in a room of a residence (of the 2 instructors) which has been converted into a classroom. It can get cramped, but any facilities necessary are present. A very hands-on approach to learning the language is taken. Reading and writing in Japanese is given a lot of importance, with students having to write small paragraphs entirely in Japanese. Speaking is encouraged, but not made compulsory (something which could be changed). The JLPT pattern is followed closely while teaching. All teaching is done on the whiteboard, with supplementary textbooks provided as and when necessary. These are usually photocopied for each student. Overall, a very warm and friendly atmosphere, with instructors who have a good grasp of the language, and who try to pique your interest in the language with activities like sing-alongs to Japanese songs, watching videos of Japanese cultures, and occasionally even interactions with native Japanese! Definitely worth checking out if you want to learn the language or prepare for JLPT.

I had a great experience at DJLS, The classroom Atmosphere is very friendly, informative and interactive. I wanted to learn Japanese to understand Anime/manga in its native form, but later as I learnt more about the language; it was not the only motivation anymore, it opened doors to the interesting culture of japan and became a source of inspiration from the humbleness and strong spirit of Japanese people.
