Amazing blend of ancient sculptures, paintings, textiles, archives of freedom movement and history of the region. The tribal museum, which is situated right next to the state museum, gives you an insight into the life and culture of the various tribes of this region. Also, the Architecture of the place is worth seeing! Toilets are also conveniently placed. My only complaint about the place is the restaurant. It needs to improve a lot in terms of seating arrangement and variety of food. Rest everything is very well preserved and maintained.

Very nice place to see our past. Copies of historically important documents are here. Old fossils and coins are one of major attractions.

A great collection of artifacts and information about the state. The age old statues and sculptures dating back to BC and 8 - 10 AD reminds us of the great Indian culture and tradition. It also provides you information about the royal kingdoms of the state which takes you to a different era full of grandeur and richness. The museum is superbly maintained and is located on Shamla hills a serene locality which adds to the elegance of the place. This was my second visit to the Museum and would be happy to go there once again the third time and will also strongly recommend tourists not to miss out this excellent place.

One of the best museums in India with around 17 sections like old stone sculptures, paintings, coins collection etc. You should have about 4-5 hours to do justice to this place. The museum staff is also very courteous and happily guides you for no cost on you.
