Rengarajoo RajI have been to Apollo at GN Chitty Road previous for my Health Check and as compared to the Convinced by the writing and rating of Apollo Spectra Hospital, I went for a medical check up in June. I was taken aback by a lack of SOPs in a hospital such as this. Firstly, upon registration, I was shocked because I was asked to fill in the registration document without any documentary or identification proof. I had a query on which medical package I should take and the receptionist informed me that a doctor would explain. Two young lady doctors attended to my query at the A&E room in the presence of another emergency patient recovering in the room. The doctors were indifferent to the fact that the patient and his family needed the privacy and this was unprofessional. Next,when I went for my scanning and ECG there was no evidence of record to prove that I was the patient and the verification was done verbally without any documentary evidence. When I went in the morning for my blood test, the lab was not opened yet as the lab tech came in late. When she arrived and attended to me in another room which did not have the proper facilities for drawing blood. While she was drawing blood the receptionist came in and intruded by giving her instructions for another case. This shows that the hospital does not have the proper SOPs for the staff to follow. I was then asked to return in the evening to review the result with the doctor. When I returned in the evening , the receptionist informed me that there was no doctor to review and I was asked to return the next morning. The next morning, I went for the review and I was shocked to see a doctor who was not patient centric. He was lackadaisical in his approach and I had to ask many questions to understand my condition. This experience is a far cry from my experience at Apollo GN Chetty Road. That professionalism is absolutely absent here.
