Horrible. Our stay at Orchid Resorts, Uthandi was very pathetic. They have provided us used shaving kits. For your ready reference I’ve posted the photos. The complimentary breakfast was not at all informed to us till Sunday (18th June) morning. Their kitchen was horrible. Veg & Non-Veg are prepared in the same stove (gas). Service was very poor. Any order will take minimum 30 to 45 minutes. We have stayed there for 2 days (16th June evening till 18th June evening). They have not cleaned the room at all. They have not changed the bed sheets at all. All the floor service boys know only Hindi. Guest those who don’t know Hindi will have to make their own arrangement for every thing. The only consoling part was the room & the swimming pool which were maintained to some extent. Our weekend was very disappointing. We hosted about 15 guests attending an event on January 2nd and January 3rd. My god, where do I even begin about lack of basic management and sanitation standards. Everyone had a terrible experience and we will never go back there. There was no a/c and electricity in few rooms. Two guests had a serious case of bed bug bites and had to be rushed to the nearest clinic. The hotel did not have any bottled water for days. There were no towels provided even after several requests made to the front desk. Bathrooms were disgusting and not even cleaned for the new guests. Most of all, the most appalling thing is that when we checked the property before booking the rooms , the manager showed us a room that was clean, with water, towels and toiletries. But, upon check in turns out that none of the rooms looked like the sample room. Basically, this place is dirty, unsanitary, poorly managed and was the most disgusting experience ever for myself and all the guests who stayed there!
