Had to go on a 2.8km walk from Marchula to reach this place and the walk was totally unexpected, overwhelming and amazing. The fact that the resort itself is in the middle of a jungle made the stay more adventurous. Stay there to know more about the resort, coz it is all about the experience. The resort has some really nice people and very good hospitality.

Just spent 4 magical days at Vanghat, enjoying the seclusion and beauty of the setting, and photographing some of the beautiful birds of this special part of India...Wallcreeper, Niltava, Leotrix, heaps of barbets etc. The Ramganga River is one of the most unspoilt and beautiful water systems anywhere on the planet.Everything was great...the birds, the hospitality, the guiding...Anil is a very talented and dedicated young guide...the food, the whole thing. Nothing was too much trouble for the team at Vanghat, right down to early morning tea, the evening camp fire and...most important..the hot water bottles! Feel we made good friends but only scratched the surface of this amazing region. Hope to be back in May to sample this place in a different season. Thanks to the V. team for an unforgettable experience.
