    The resort is around 20 mins by auto from baruipur rly stn.The rooms r well maintained, but there was insufficient lighting in evening, swimming pool was not clean, regarding food quality was good but a bit pricey.

    We booked 2 rooms in Chanakyapuri for two nights / three days from 17th to 19th May 2017. Never expected that Chanakyapuri will emerge as the jewel of the crown of all the properties of Country Club. Chanakyapuri is a country side resort about 60 kms.away from the city of Kolkata. With nearest railway station Baruipur , the resort will appeal to those who will like to spend time in quiet surroundings.The place is not meant for visitors to the main city of Kolkata. We were pleasantly surprised with the upkeep and maintenance of not only the rooms , bed linens , toilets etc., but the entire resort also. Credit goes to Sri Nirmalbabu , the manager of Chanakyapuri who is ever smiling and helpful and is extremely vigilant for maintaining the place. He is adequately assisted by a decent and courteous staff who are always ready to make the visitors feel comfortable. I remember Tapas the roomboy who cleaned our room at odd hours. Even at the restaurant , we were served food of our choice. The swimming pool is nice. Nirmalbabu himself came in the evening to switch on the pool lights. I spoke to him about inadequate chlorination in the pool. I was told that the pool attendant was on leave and hence the problem.     Visited this place this year Feb. The place is not bad. But it is very far from the main city Kolkata. To reach here you need to take a train from Sealdah to Baruipur. From Baruipur station you need to take an Auto-Rickshaw to reach this place. Visited only once. Had lunch here. Food was of very poor quality except one which they served as a dessert "Gajar kar Halua" which was quite delicious. Rooms are very small for family more than 2-3 people. They have two swimming pools inside the campus. Overall it is very average place to visit for a vacation.
