Kolahal BhattacharyaThe administration attempts to take care of things...But my personal trainer was worst possible driving trainer in the whole universe. His name is Babon and try not to train with him. He asks of cut money every now and then and will continue to nag until you yield. No sense of responsibility on his part at all. He assumes that you will arrange the time of the class according to his convenience. On the first day, he called me when I was bed at 7:10 am and demanded I must reach by next 10 minutes- whereas, I had called him the previous night to fix the time. This was just the start. He never ever trained me for full 30 minutes or 1 hr. Every time he used to cut 10 minutes. Often he troubled me by asking to turn in one direction and then asking to turn to another direction at the moment where I had already taken the turn which he first instructed. He steals from the school in the following ways: (a) by selling the book required for written test, issued complimentary by the school; (b) using the car for training other guys not registered with the school (so-called khep khata) and by purchasing extra fuel. The extra 10 minutes he acquires from everyone is finally used to train an unregistered guy. He asks you to sign on the fuel expenditure sheet, where some part of the fuel must have been used up while training other guys. He did not teach properly how to take start in manual transmission system (the trick about the use of clutch, without touching the accelerator). This way, he does not only cheat you, he also cheats the school. The officials know about him, but they have their limitations. They cannot assign the handful number of good trainer to all the students enrolled. There is another trainer: Taj. He is a much better trainer and well-behaved. I failed in the final test on the first day, since I could not start the car properly and later Taj helped me clarify the idea. Although the officials try to work, you have to understand that they are poor at their jobs. They do not properly handle the documents and often cause unnecessary delays. They try to provide the service, but they are not good at it - like most of the Bengali small-sized business set ups these days.
