Sri Aurobindo Bhavan,the place where sri Aurobindo was born-as per "The Sri Aurobindo Memorial Act",enscted by West Bengali Assembly in 1972. Now it is known as one of the Largest library in kolkata.

This is actually Sri Aurobindo Bhavan, Kolkata, birth place of Rishi Aurobindo. Relics of Sri Aurobindo is enshrined here. Two public libraries, one exclusively for children are there. Besides, several cultural activities are organised by Bhavan on different occasions. Main objective of Sri Aurobindo Bhavan is to propagate the teachings of the great Master and the Mother. Meditation around the Shrine is held every Thursday and Sunday from 7 pm. to 7-30 pm.
