The most important junction station of Eastern Railway as well as Metro Rail. Thousands and thousands of people avail this station everyday. The amenities of the station for passengers are not adequate and need to be improved.

Its an above ground metro station adjacent to the Dum Dum Jn railway station......very busy area and huge queues in ticket counters in the evenings.......it connects the whole kolkata by metro.....it links the rail station with metro station......... When the metro departs dum dum towards belgachia you can observe the whole railway tracks from the metro before entering the underground metro tunnel. But there is no connection between the platforms for train going towards belgachia and train towards noapara....... Escalators are present and elevators for handicapped are also present......metro station is clean compared to the railway station......
