Among the Oldest libraries in Mumbai suburbs. It was established in 1864 A.D. in the crowded market place of old Kalyan. It was honoured by the State government of Maharashtra for being the Century old library. There are 67,000 books and magazines on variety of subjects. Only library in Thane district with the highest number of readers subscription. A separate reading room and ₹5 monthly subscription for children. The library also organises cultural programmes. Visit this place if you are a book lover as there is no old colonial structure of this library, only plain looking building.
