For the old world facade and charm yet unaffected by modernisation Palace cinema would rank at the top but unfortunately the ambience, seating, screens or the A/C still need a lot of work to be ranked up there with other cinemas that have retained their old world exteriors but done up their interiors in keeping with the times. Still for one of the oldest halls it is worth a visit especially if the movie playing is good. Some aspects of the old world charm, when going to a movie was the only form of entertainment in the city and was considered a family outing, are still there and bring back a lot of memories. Worth a visit if you can close your eyes to the above mentioned grey areas and concentrate on what you have actually come for to enjoy a movie with family.
