One of the most important ferry for daily commuters. It connects Bandha ghat (from Howrah side) with Aheritola (Kolkata side). Ferry service towards howrah railway station and bagbazar is also available. First ferry at 5:30 AM towards Bandha ghat Last Ferry at 9:30 PM towards Bandha ghat It saves a lot of time, compared to the same journey via Howrah Bridge. Pros: It saves time. Fare is only Rs 5/- to cross the river Ganges. Cons: It stop their ferry service at 9:30 PM, which is annoying for daily commuters, considering that many people return back to home at around 10-11 at night from their job.
