Its more of a religious place belonging to Madhwa sect of Brahmins. Rooms are pretty decent. Food served in the morning and evening are excellent. They also have a kakyana mantapam there, where small functions can be organised.

We have stayed in the Mutt twice and both times we experienced some unfortunate reception and service. The staff at office are very rude and do not respond to any requests, we had checked in at 9 15 in the morning but the bed sheets in the room were supplied only at 10 PM in the night. They also demand 200-300 extra for staff. The administrative failings aside, they lack basic courtesy and laugh away when we went and ask for bedsheets. All they are doing is bringing bad name to the Mutt and a shame to the legacy of Sri Madhwacharya. ~ A disappointed young madhva devotee.
