Poor service, no reverence for the inmates, bad quality food, not so nicely managed. Value for money but no peace of mind. Toilets not well maintained. Be here only if you have no options.

I stayed in this monumental type building in 1979- 1981. I am from Durban, South Africa and my stay in this hostel has been such a pleasure and the experience was one to behold. Chowpatty beach made me feel at home and the marine parade was indeed scenic. The boys were very friendly and we got along well all the time.What a great experience. When I visit Mumbai, a drive to the hostel is a must.
